Revenge

God clearly states He hates anger, hence He will not like us to take revenge in anger.
    God said in Bible Ezekiel 25:15-17 "Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them."
The Lord is the one who punishes for wrong doings hence all that we have to do is just take the issue to the Lord and he will do what is just.
Jesus taught about revenge though Bible in Mathew 5:38-42 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for and eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But now I tell you: do not take revenge on someone who wrongs you. If anyone slap your right cheek let him slap your left cheek too. And if someone takes your court to sue you for your shirt, let him have your coat as well. And if one of the occupation troops forces you to carry his pack one kilometer, carry it two kilometers. When someone asks you for something, give it to him; when someone wants to borrow something, lend it to him."
Hence we should not take revenge for any reason.

If we should not take revenge then what should we do when people wrong against us?
Why is God not permitting us to take revenge?
It is for our good that God is not permitting us to take revenge. This is because God does not fist permit us to judge others.
Why we should not judge or condemn others?
God knows everything, He only knows why a person is doing an act against us. Hence God is the best Judge so we are not supposed to Judge others, we have to leave this part to the Lord.
Jesus teaches about Judging others in Bible
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
One among the reason behind this could be that we judge someone and if our judgment goes wrong then we become eligible for condemnation. Hence let's not judge others and obey what Jesus has asked us to do.

It's tough to just let go someone who has done something very wrong against us or even who is persistently doing wrong against us. So what should we do in this situation?
We have to tell all our problems to the Lord and He will do what is needed. Bible teaches this in Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
God tells in Deuteronomy 32:35 It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them."
God wants us to trust in the Lord and tell Him all the problems that we have in prayer. He is the best Judge and will take care of everything wisely at the right time.
