How To Pray

What is Prayer?
Prayer is talking (asking, telling, pleading etc) to the one and only Living God who created us & everything.
Well now we get questions like How to pray? Where is God? Who is God? etc..

Why should we pray?
Yes God knows all our needs & feelings even before we ask Him. Yes He sometimes grants us our needs even before we pray. Then why should we pray?
God wants to have good relationship with us so He wants us to know Him and ask Him. He will grant our wish if it is good.
Just try to start your day with a prayer asking the living God Jesus Christ to help you throughout the day. You will find the day move smoothly if you are righteous.

Types of Christian prayers as in Bible?
Type1: One person directly praying to the Living God. (one to One prayer)
Type2: Two or more believers unite(in spirit) to pray for one cause to the Living God. (many to One prayer)
Note: The Living God loves each one of us and likes to have direct personal relationship with each one of us. So there is no need for any mediator, any medium or so called holy person to speak on your behalf to the living God.
Whoever you are, whatever may be your present situation or however horrible might be the things that you have done. Don't worry, just start praying to the Living God who created us. He knows our likes, dislikes, mistakes, abilities, needs, motives and everything. He will never reject any one who depends on Him.

How to Pray
Just ask the Heavenly Father God.
Example: If you are a young child and needed a toy how would you ask your earthly father, just as simple as that, ask your Father in Heaven and see the difference in your life. You will know for yourself that Jesus is alive & that Jesus Loves you.

Jesus Teaches us How to pray

This is what Jesus teaches us How To Pray and How Not To Pray through the Bible in Mathew 6:5-15
"When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites! They love to stand up and pray in the house of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full. But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
" When you pray, do not use a lot of meaningless words, as the pagans do, who think that their gods will hear them because their prayers are long. Do not be like them. Your Father already knows what you need before you ask him. This then is how you should pray:

'Our Father in heaven: May your holly name be honored:
may your Kingdom come; may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we have need.
Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us.
Do not bring us to hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One.'

"If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done". Mathew 6:5-15

Jesus Teaches Us How To Continue Praying For A Need

In Luke 11:5-13 (Good News Bible) "And Jesus said to his disciples, "Suppose one of you should go to a friend's house at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, let me borrow three loaves of bread. A friend of mine who is on a journey has just come to my house, and I haven't got any food for him!' And suppose your friend should answer from inside, 'Don't bother me! The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.' Well, what then? I tell you that even if he will not get up and give you the bread because you are his friend, yet he will get up and give you everything you need because you are not ashamed to keep on asking.

" And so I say to you : Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you. For every one who asks will receive, and he who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to any one who knocks. Would any of you who are fathers give your son a snake when he asks for fish? Or would you give him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? Bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"                                                     Luke 11:5-13

How Not To Pray

This is what Bible teaches us on How Not To Pray

1. Do not pray for public praise or fame.
Jesus said in Bible Mathew 6:5,
"When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites! They love to stand up and pray in the house of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.

2. Pray sincerely
Bible says in Hosea 7:13-16, "They are doomed! They have left me and rebelled against me. They will be destroyed. I wanted to save them, but their worship of me was false. They have not prayed to me sincerely, but instead they throw themselves down and wail as the heathen do. When they pray for corn and wine, they gash themselves as pagans. What rebels they are! Even though I was the one who brought them up and made them strong, they plotted against me. They keep on turning away from me to a god that is powerless. They are as unreliable as a crooked bow. Because their leaders talk arrogantly, they will die a violent death, and the Egyptians will laugh.                    Hosea 7:13-16

God sees our hearts motive and intentions. Bible teaches us to ask Jesus, Yes we have to ask sincerely with 100% Faith that the Living God will answer your prayers..
